Psychometric Properties of the Iranian Version of STIG–9 Questionnaire in People With Mental Disorders

Objective: The stigma of mental disorders is a common phenomenon, that barricades seeking medical help. Stigma includes negative attitude toward person occurs due to distinctive feature, such as race, sexual orientation, or disorder. Regarding the consequences in course disorder and life people with illness, aim this study was investigate psychometric properties Iranian version stigma-9 questionnaire (STIG-9) disorders. Methods: statistical population included all military personnel hospitalized 505 Psychiatric Hospital from October 2020 January 2021. By convenience sampling method, 95 patients were selected. For data analysis, descriptive inferential statistics using SPSS software, 26, for factor R Coding software 3.6.3 package lavaan 0.7 used. Results: face validity evaluated quantitatively impact score content ratio (CVR) index (CVI) based on opinion 15 experts. All items validated terms validity. To evaluate internal consistency, Cronbach’s α coefficient calculated (α=0.86). Factor analysis used construct results showed had three factors. Conclusion: Stig-9 an appropriate instrument perceived society.
